Invitation to tender for a consumer complaints mediation service

The General Optical Council has today published an invitation to tender for a consumer complaints mediation service.

The Council invites offers from suitably experienced and qualified providers for the provision of a mediation service to resolve contractual disputes between optical practices and their patients or clients without resorting to formal litigation.

A fixed term contract of three years will be awarded effective 1 April 2008 to 31 March 2011. The closing date for submissions is 12noon on Friday 5 October 2007.
